Substitute Custodian

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for the building, equipment and furnishings under your control
• Responsible for the building keys assigned to you. Do not loan building keys to another person.
• Watch and correct hazards that could cause slips, trips and falls
• Keep playground and grounds areas free from broken bottles, trash, rubbish piles or any other hazards
• Remove snow and ice as necessary around entryways and outside steps
• Responsible for the overall cleanliness level in your assigned area
• Maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality
• Present appropriate appearance by maintaining personal hygiene and dressing in clean uniforms during the school year
• Responsible for the efficient and effective use of supplies and equipment
• Complete required district trainings
• Flexible to cover buildings in the district as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned
