Substitute Crossing Guard

Vineyard City is seeking dedicated and reliable substitute crossing guards to prepare crossing zones and assist children in safely crossing streets. School locations will vary.

Schedule

• Morning: 7:25 AM - 8:10 AM
• Afternoon: 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM

Responsibilities

• Prepare crossing zones for student safety
• Assist children in safely crossing streets
• Use discretion and independent judgment in safe crossing procedures
• Operate hand-held stop sign, reflector vest, cones, and 20 MPH flashing lights
• Assess traffic flow, speed, and direction of travel
• Collaborate with children, parents, and school officials

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
