Requirements

• One of the following documents must be attached to pre-qualify:
  • A passing score from San Juan Unified School District’s Proficiency Exam (testing date April 2005 or later; no other district’s exam accepted), or
  • Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), or
  • Official transcripts showing completion of two years of college (48 semester / 60 quarter units), or
  • Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher). Foreign degrees/transcripts must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
• Preference given to applicants with 6 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units.
• In some programs, possession of—or willingness and ability to obtain—a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
