Ball-Chatham School District is seeking motivated and passionate individuals to join our Titan Talent as Substitute Bus Monitors for the 2026-2027 school year.
About The Role
Substitute Bus Monitors assist regular bus drivers in ensuring the safe transport and well-being of students on an on-call, as-needed basis.

- Assist in ensuring the safe transport and well-being of students.
- Apply common sense understanding in carrying out instructions.
- Exercise appropriate disciplinary techniques.
- Be trained in and apply behavior modification techniques.
- Work as part of a team and serve as a role model for students.
- Regularly talk, hear, walk, sit, and use hands.
- Frequently assist physically challenged students.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Ability to pass a fingerprint criminal and DCFS background check.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively with students.
Skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding in carrying out instructions.
- Ability to exercise appropriate disciplinary techniques.
- Ability to be trained in and apply behavior modification techniques.
- Ability to work as part of a team and serve as a role model for students.
Pay
Starting wage: $15.00 per hour.
