About This Role

Join the support team at St. Paul UMC Preschool in Lakeland, TN as a Substitute Teacher. This role pays $12.50 – $13/Hr and requires relevant professional experience.

We seek an Assistant Teacher to foster the academic, spiritual, emotional, mental, social, and physical growth of children in a Christian environment.

- Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

- 19.5 hours per week

What You'll Do

• Establish a learning environment that encourages exploration and fosters creativity.
• Lead lessons when the Lead Teacher is absent.
• Develop engaging educational materials that cater to students' interests and abilities.
• Maintain a portfolio for each student.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, both in and out of the classroom.
• Implement guidance policies and behavior modification plans as outlined by St Paul UMC Preschool.
• Communicate regularly with parents through daily interactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Must pass a background check.
• One year of experience is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
