Substitue Cook/Housekeeper for Head Start

This onsite position offers the opportunity to engage with a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing and supporting children's growth. Your culinary creativity will shine as you prepare healthy meals that not only satisfy but delight young minds every day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious homemade meals, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks, guided by our easy-to-follow preset menus.
• Receive regular training on procedures and required paperwork for our Childcare Food Program.
• Contribute significantly to our Early Childhood Programs, which focus on fostering the growth and development of children and their families.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of food service experience.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Current negative TB test, required immunizations (pertussis, measles), and a current influenza shot.
• A valid California driver's license and proof of current auto insurance.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalency.
• One-year of food service or housekeeping experience preferred.

Skills

• Attention to detail.
• The ability to follow preset menus.
• Effective communication skills.
