About the Role
Lead structural design, analysis, and calculations for substation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Develop equipment and material recommendations, oversee structural efforts, generate specifications, and supervise engineering teams both domestically and internationally. Perform construction site duties, manage project budgets and schedules, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and analysis for substation projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop recommendations for equipment and materials.
- Oversee structural engineering efforts and generate specifications.
- Supervise and mentor engineering teams domestically and internationally.
- Perform construction site duties as required.
- Manage project budgets and schedules.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Provide technical guidance and support continuous improvement.
- Manage resources effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in structural engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of structural design principles.
- Experience with 3D analysis software such as RISA or STAAD Pro.
- Expertise in foundation design.
