Substation QC

Responsibilities

• Drive subcontractor performance to meet project deadlines.
• Lead subcontractor crews in the construction of a substation.
• Ensure overall production and quality of the job and crew(s).
• Handle comprehensive reporting aspects of the job.
• Communicate effectively with the project team and stakeholders.
• Conduct construction meetings and standardized reporting.

Requirements

• Experience in Substation Quality Control.
• Ability to understand construction drawings.
• Proficiency in QC reporting and documentation.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and proprietary software.

Qualifications

• Experience with Entergy projects.
• Experience in TLINE Tie-In, construction management, and project management.
• Background in electrical distribution and power delivery.
• Familiarity with safety and risk management practices.

Work Environment

• Working in the field, coordinating subcontractor crews for over 50 hours per week.
• Standard work schedule consists of ten-hour workdays for five days a week, with additional hours as needed.
• Offers standard per diem, time and a half pay for overtime, and future project opportunities.
• Holidays and PTO are provided, with expenses billed back to the customer.

Pay and Benefits

• The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Control Representative for a significant substation project at a data center in Wilmer, TX. This role involves managing subcontractor performance and leading crews to construct a substation. The project is slated to last multiple years, with potential extensions up to five years, depending on performance.

This is a Contract position based out of Covington, LA.
