Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a talented and multi-disciplinary team delivering protection & control designs for utilities and EPC partners.
- Provide strategic oversight for project resources, budgets, and client relationships.
- Guide engineers through complex transmission and distribution projects.
- Manage resources, performance, and development for a growing national substation group.
- Review and approve design packages, drawings, and specifications for technical excellence.
- Pilot and develop business development and recruiting initiatives.
- Champion a culture of learning, innovation, collaboration, and inclusion across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering and an active Professional Engineer (PE) license; PMP certification is preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in protection & control or power systems engineering, including 4+ years in leadership roles.
- Advanced expertise in P&C engineering for high-voltage substations, including developing and reviewing one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, substation protection schematics, and control wiring diagrams.
- Deep knowledge of utility industry standards.
- A passion for mentorship, innovation, and collaborative leadership.
- A confident communicator, mentor, and team builder with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to helping engineers grow in both technical depth and systems thinking.

Pay
Estimated salary range: $120,000 – $160,000, based on experience, qualifications, and PE/PMP status.
