Description

Asplundh Engineering Services (AES) is seeking a talented Protection & Control Engineer to join their team remotely to support their Atlanta office. In this role, you will work on exciting projects and use your expertise to investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide variety of existing electric facilities, substation protection and control issues. You will also prepare protection and control schematics, wiring drawings, and relay philosophies for substation modifications and upgrades to meet client requirements.

Ideal Experience

  • 5-12 years of experience in relay/protection engineering or related disciplines
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with a focus on Power Systems or similar
  • Knowledge of utility-based software programs such as ASPEN, SKM, EasyPower, ETAP, or other related programs
  • Programming knowledge or experience with protection relays and other substation equipment
  • Knowledge of engineering theory, practices, and procedures, including NERC requirements
  • Experience in power protection, relay design and planning
