About the role
The Senior Substation Engineer will provide project support within our Substation Engineering team. Projects will range from 4kV to 345kV and the candidate will be client-facing and interface with other disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Substation General Arrangement
- Control House Layout
- Plans and Sections
- Grounding
- Lightning Protection
- Conduit/trench Layout
- Material List
- Prepare calculations for studies and reports (grounding, lightning protection, voltage drop, AC/DC load studies, etc.)
- SUPPORT/COORDINATE engineering and design related to Civil/Structural aspects of the designs
- Cordination with Protection and Control
- Perform quality control/assurance reviews
- Project support from scoping to final design and project closeout
- Construction Support
Requirements
- Strong client focus and customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is a plus with ambition to obtain Professional Engineering Licensure (PE)
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the electric utility industry
- Experience in utility substation engineering with focus on electrical or physical aspects of design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus

Pay
The base compensation range for this position is based on education, work experience, licensure, and qualifications. Base Compensation Annual Range: $95,000 - $140,000
