Substation Engineer 3 - Grid

Location: 8000 Regency Parkway, Suite 285, Cary, NC 27518

About the role

Work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the detailed electrical design and project management of high voltage substation projects. Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution. Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide variety of electrical engineering issues. Prepare reports that present technical and project information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&L formats. Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge with other experienced engineers by way of S&L’s systems of process and associated “Communities of Practice”. Hybrid telecommuting permitted, 3 days per week in office.

Responsibilities

• Develop protective relay settings files utilizing MathCAD, CAPE, Aspen, and Quickset.
• Manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
• Develop automation settings configuration files for RTAC controllers.
• Track project information such as schedules and expenditures against budgets, prepare status reports, and interface with clients.

Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Plus 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related occupation.

Pay

Compensation range: $105,227 - $113,595. The total compensation package for eligible positions includes a base salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Individuals may also be eligible to participate in our yearly discretionary bonus.
