About the role
The Substation Apparatus Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment in substations. This includes troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in substations
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on substation equipment
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- At least 2 years of related experience in electrical maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of electrical systems and safety regulations
