Join our team at White Deer Run Allenwood and help women overcome addiction and mental health challenges as a dedicated Substance Use Counselor I.
Responsibilities
- Provide treatment and counseling to assist patients in recovery from substance use disorders, eating disorders, and other behavioral health concerns.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Conduct group and/or family sessions, under supervision, as scheduled and document as required.
- Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions and assist with modifying problem behaviors.
- Perform initial assessments and follow-up assessments for patients.
- Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
- Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and in a clear, concise manner.
- Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients, and between patients and insurance carriers, as requested.
- Provide crisis intervention to patients, as needed.
- Plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
- Perform case management duties for patients, ensuring individualized quality care.
- Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are necessary.
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers always.
- Address and resolve patient complaints when needs are not met.
- Prioritize patient safety at all times.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in social or health services field preferred.
- Experience in counseling field instruction/internship or similar practicum through education or certification process required.
- Licensure or certification for counseling, as required by the state in which the facility operates; OR state license or certification eligible within the timeframe designated by the facility.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
- Completion of ongoing education and training, as required by the state in which the facility operates and applicable accrediting body.
Pay
Pay Range: $20 - $23/Hr.
Schedule
Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday
