Substance Use Counselor - FT
Job Description
Provide substance use counseling to clients in the substance use program level 1 and level 2. Conduct individual, group and family counseling sessions, carry a caseload of clients, complete prior authorizations, document progress notes in electronic health record. Implement evidenced-based modalities to assist clients in their recovery. Complete treatment plans, and other documentation according to agency standards. Admit clients using NJSAMS. Collect weekly UDS. Make referrals to detox, inpatient, mental health or supportive services. Supervise interns.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Counseling, social work, or psychology
- LCADC or CADC required
- LAC, LPC, LSW or LCSW preferred
- Experience completing prior authorizations and using NJSAMS
- Knowledge of IOP level of treatment
