About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapy for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults and their families, individualizing services to meet unique needs.
  • Facilitate Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Structured Outpatient Program (SOP), and Aftercare groups, using the agency’s Substance Abuse Program curriculum.
  • Utilize community resources and referrals to enhance and expand treatment.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling, or social work required.
  • AzBBHE Licensure is preferred.
  • Experience working with substance abuse issues and facilitating groups is preferred.
  • Organized and reliable, with knowledge of community resources, trauma-informed, and able to individualize treatment.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and strong customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must have a Fingerprint clearance card or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Must have a valid AZ driver's license with no major infractions in the past three years.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment.

  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently, cooperate, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender or sexual orientation.
  • Maintain professional conduct consistent with ethical professional practice and the policies and procedures of the agency.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community and business partners.
  • If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid Arizona driver license and appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with EMPACT-SPC’s liability insurance carrier is required.
