About the role
The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) seeks a Correctional Substance Abuse Counselor Senior to provide clinical assessments and treatment services to inmates.
Responsibilities
- Delivers substance abuse education classes, conducts therapy groups and one-on-one counseling sessions
- Provides guidance and leadership to Associate and Technician level counselors
- Reviews and approves treatment plans
- Completes intake assessments, DX, discharge summaries, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Completes clinical supervision for associate-level counselors
- Travels on state business
- Drives on state business
Requirements
- Must be licensed by the Arizona Department of Behavioral Health Examiners as an Associate or Independent Clinician
- Must have and retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment

Pay
- Independent license - $70,799*
- Associate license - $67,200*
- Hiring incentive of $5,000 effective until 06/30/2023, with $2,500 upfront and the remaining $2,500 after three (3) months of employment
Schedule
- Travel selective preference
