Description
New Season Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate, master's-level Substance Abuse Counselor to join our multidisciplinary team in Desoto, MS.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in mental health or intellectual/development disabilities, or a related field
- Required to have either a professional license or a DMH credential as a Mental Health Therapist, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Therapist or Addictions Therapist (PCAT, CAT, PMHT, MHT)
- Must be eligible for Mississippi Level 4 Counselor certification within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling for patients receiving substance use disorder treatment
- Complete patient assessments, psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, and clinical documentation
- Conduct admissions, discharges, transfers, and ongoing patient evaluations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and behavioral health professionals to support patient recovery
- Facilitate therapeutic groups and provide patient education on addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention
- Maintain accurate documentation while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
