About the role
Center Point is seeking AOD/SUD-certified and experienced substance use disorder counselors to join our Residential Treatment Program in Fair Oaks, CA.
Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings and assessments
- Provide individual and group counseling
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Maintain client records in compliance with regulatory agencies and funder requirements
- Facilitate relapse prevention and continuing care services
- Offer follow-up and aftercare counseling
- Provide case management in both residential and outpatient settings
Qualifications
- Substance Abuse Counseling Certification (or AOD Registration) from a State of California Accredited Certifying Board is required unless the candidate holds a professional license.
- Prior experience working in a residential substance use disorder treatment program.
- Strong understanding of Drug Medi-Cal and Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) regulations and standards.
- Experience with evidence-based substance abuse treatment models and an understanding of treatment modalities is expected.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain compliance with treatment program policies.
- Knowledge of community resources and services is preferred.
- Experience working with justice-impacted, unhoused, and at-risk populations is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
- Strong customer service skills, including active listening, problem-solving, and the ability to remain calm in emotional or high-stress situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to listen attentively and convey information clearly.
- Familiarity with the local treatment community and available referral resources is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, email, and database management for general office functions.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance, adhering to professional ethical standards, and ensuring confidentiality in all client interactions.
- CPR and First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment (training available if not currently certified).

Pay Range
$27 to $33 per hour: $27 - $29 if AOD Registered.
$31 - $33 if AOD Certified.
Schedule
Full-time, Multiple Shifts, 8-hour shift.
