Responsibilities
- Manages subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies.
- Directs and manages all costs, quality, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system.
- Develops sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs, execution, and risk management.
- Acts as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office.
- Responsible for and directs all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, transition to program startup, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, and contract closeout.
- Makes informed decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor.
- Establishes milestone objectives to manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
- Leads a cross-functional team, normally composed of engineers, quality, and procurement personnel, to ensure successful subcontract execution and program delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- 8+ years of professional experience in a combination of Project Engineering, Project Management, and Supply Chain Management (Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and Category Management).
- Ability to travel approximately 25% +/-.
- US Citizenship, and ability to obtain and maintain a US SECRET clearance.
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education (preferred).
- 15+ years of professional experience in Project Engineering, Project Management, or Supply Chain Management (Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and Category Management).
- Prior professional experience managing the performance, design, or procurement of specialized materials, complex assemblies, and equipment within the Defense industry.
- Prior professional experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Detail and teamwork oriented with demonstrated organizational skills.
- Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership, and suppliers.
- Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, and stakeholders, as well as program executives, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
- You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR.
- In-depth knowledge of all contract types and how to utilize them in various program scenarios.
- Prior professional experience with long-form subcontracts.
- Prior professional experience on DoD programs.
- Prior professional negotiation experience.
- Prior professional experience driving contractual & technical issues to closure.
- Prior professional experience improving team and supplier performance.

Pay
Details on pay will be provided during the interview process.
Schedule
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in either Denver, CO, or Titusville, FL, and be expected to work in the office.
