About the role

We are looking for technicians to help our shop grow and become more efficient and effective. While a technician is largely an independent role, we want people who enjoy being a part of the team, who are looking to join and contribute to a happy workplace.

In this role, the technician performs routine maintenance and complex repairs on Subaru vehicles, including inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical and electrical work. Day-to-day responsibilities include accurately identifying issues, using diagnostic tools, following manufacturer guidelines, and completing repair orders in a timely and safe manner. The technician communicates clearly with service advisors, supports a positive customer experience, and maintains a clean, organized work area. The role also involves following all safety protocols, staying current with Subaru training and certifications, and contributing to a collaborative, respectful service team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on Subaru vehicles
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, mechanical and electrical work
  • Accurately identify vehicle issues
  • Use diagnostic tools and follow manufacturer guidelines
  • Complete repair orders in a timely and safe manner

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as an automotive technician; Subaru experience is highly beneficial
  • Relevant technical training or certification (e.g., automotive technology program, ASE certifications) preferred
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment and technical documentation
  • Ability to read and follow repair manuals, service bulletins, and electronic diagnostic procedures
  • Commitment to ethical practices, safety standards, and working effectively in a diverse, inclusive team environment
  • A low comeback rate
  • A valid Utah Driver’s License with a clean driving record

  • Able to stand on concrete surface for extended periods of time
  • Able to work in an environment that frequently experiences extreme hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes
  • Able to lift and move inventory items, trashcans and other work related items (up to 75 pounds)
  • Able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold
