Sub - Head Start Teacher Assistant

Job Summary

You will enjoy working alongside other dedicated adults to provide exceptional care to children 3 to 5 years old. You will assist the classroom teacher in providing a learning environment and communication with the family to help the child develop socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally. You will assist the teacher in involving parents in classroom activities. You will support children in their learning environment and varied experiences, based upon their developmental level. You will maintain compliance with requirements and standards, including required documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool age children
• Good attendance and dependable transportation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Pass a satisfactory background check
• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Pass a pre-employment physical and TB screen
