Responsibilities

These positions will fit and assemble mechanical and/or electrical components according to prints or sketches. Key responsibilities include:

  • Read and analyze assembly and electrical prints/bills of material
  • Fit and assemble components according to specifications using proper tools and verifying conformance of parts
  • Install wiring, electrical components, and panel building to specifications
  • Identify and communicate with Leaders regarding build issues and documentation

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field, or a high school diploma with a minimum of one year experience related to mechanical, HPL, and/or electrical assembly of industrial machinery. Additionally, the candidate should possess:

  • Ability to assemble both mechanical and electrical components according to prints and sketches
  • Written, verbal, and interaction skills necessary to work both independently and cooperatively
  • Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
  • Appropriate hand tools
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The candidate should be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach or otherwise move about frequently
  • Perform occasional repetitive motion and grasping
  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
  • Sit, grasp items or perform keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
  • Work in an environment with typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection
