About the Role
Yellowstone Club's Spa department is seeking a Stylist for the upcoming Winter season (November – April). The Stylist provides professional cosmetic services for members, including hair services/treatments, cosmetics, and manicures/pedicures for cosmetic and therapeutic purposes. This role also involves recommending individualized hair and nail care regimes/treatments for Members and guests of Yellowstone Club.
Responsibilities
- Ensure outstanding service in a friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining service standards, and demonstrating product knowledge.
- Guarantee total Member satisfaction while displaying hospitality and professionalism at all times.
- Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure environment for team members, Members, and guests.
- In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the Assistant General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Yellowstone Club team members to foster a positive working environment.
- Review and make hair style recommendations based on hair and physical characteristics.
- Provide scalp/hair treatments such as haircuts, styling, chemical services, and therapeutic hair and scalp treatments.
- Greet and treat Members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain adequate stock of supplies and replenish from the stock room as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and sanitize all tools such as scissors and combs.
- Demonstrate and sell hair care and other salon products and spa treatments.
- Perform all duties in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies and standards.
- Meet departmental productivity, organization, punctuality/attendance, and consistency standards.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude and treat everyone with professionalism and respect.
- Uphold Member privacy at all times.
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with all employees, supervisors, managers, and directors.
- Project a favorable image of Yellowstone Club to Members and guests.
- Work flexible hours/schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required due to business demands.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent plus two years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Valid MT Cosmetology license (preferred).
- Valid State Driver’s License.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to be trained on specific spa, salon, and fitness software.
- Ability to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, co-workers, vendors, and other departments.
- Ability to write clearly and legibly.
- Basic math skills.
- Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities.
Work Environment
The work environment is usually climate-controlled, but the employee may be required to work outside in extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, snow, or inclement weather as needed.
Physical Demands
- Constantly required to talk and/or hear.
- Constantly required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Constantly required to use vision to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
