Stylist in Training / Apprentice Stylist

About the Role

A temporary 90-day stylist-in-training position designed to teach you the business while delivering exceptional customer service across all channels. This role may lead to a promotion to stylist upon licensure and meeting performance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to grow the business and control expenses by observing stylists and managers
• Greet customers and answer phones with a professional demeanor
• Maintain salon cleanliness and adhere to safety standards
• Perform necessary salon tasks, including cleaning and stocking retail shelves

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license(s) to perform salon services within or before 90 days of hire
• Ability to perform licensed duties such as cutting, styling, coloring, wax treatments, washing, and perming hair
• Strong judgment, time management, and communication skills
• Tech-savvy with experience using point-of-sale systems and data entry
• Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Physical ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and 10-25 lbs occasionally
• Capable of standing for most of the day
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and ability to travel to mandatory meetings/training (including overnight)

Promotion to Stylist

To be considered for promotion, you must:

• Possess a valid cosmetology license in your state
• Demonstrate ability to perform all state-allowed licensed services
• Exemplify Regis values: honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect

Note: Promotion is not automatic or guaranteed. You must apply for the stylist position with Supercuts to be considered.
