About the role

Creating everyday art is our mission at Marquin Salon. We are an internationally awarded salon located in the heart of Wicker Park, serving a diverse clientele ranging from natural hair to extensions. With long-time clients returning despite limited booking availability, we are looking for talented individuals to help us grow.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain a cosmetology license (6+ years preferred)
• Provide exceptional customer service and build a loyal client base
• Lead and learn within the beauty industry
• Work collaboratively with other team members to enhance salon operations
• Participate in commission-based compensation and retail sales incentives
• Use products such as Moroccan Oil, Wella, Mizani, and Goldwell

Requirements

• Positive attitude and passion for the beauty industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not required

Qualifications

• Education in cosmetology or related field
• Previous experience in a salon setting
• Knowledge of current beauty trends and techniques

• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
