Styling Director
About the role
We're a mission-based company dedicated to sustainability and innovation in fashion. Our goal is to be Climate Positive by 2025, Circular by 2030, and to push the industry forward. We're looking for a full-time Style Director to lead our styling identity.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Creative Director, Creative Merchandising, Brand Marketing, and Merchandising teams to develop a brand-right styling direction that influences brand campaigns, commercial channels, and future product collections.
- Translate seasonal inspiration into an ownable and relevant seasonal perspective that can be executed across all seasonal storytelling and product launches.
- Collaborate closely with the product operations team to drive visual direction that supports broader marketing objectives, including brand consistency, market testing, and customer engagement.
- Establish clear visual guidelines and standards to ensure consistent point of view globally, aligning with the creative and design teams.
- Analyze market trends, research competitors and inspiration, and identify customer preferences to ensure the company's creative direction remains relevant and impactful.
- Redefine styling across key categories and elevate core products.
- Oversee styling needs from concept to final execution, ensuring all styling elements bring the visual direction to life while driving styling tactics to complete the look. Direct and provide styling feedback on set to ensure looks are executed as intended.
- This is an on-set, hands-on role. Throughout the shoot week, you'll be expected to be physically present on set—actively styling, adjusting looks in real time, and problem-solving alongside the photo and production teams.
Requirements
- Expertise in industry trends and fashion movements to ensure styling and photography align with current market aesthetics while maintaining brand integrity.
- Minimum 6-8 years of styling experience.
- Experience managing a team, including internal team members and external freelancers for photoshoot styling needs.
- Absolutely amazing style and keen eye for design.
- Understanding of garment fit and design intent.
- The ability to maintain and grow the evolution of the Reformation brand and look.
- Organized and able to work at a high-volume capacity.
- A team player.
- Los Angeles-based or willing to relocate.
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range is $100,000 – $144,000 + 10% bonus eligibility, depending on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal compensation equity. This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a range of factors, including company performance, department goals, and individual contributions. Bonus amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and are determined at the company’s discretion.
