Studio Assistant Manager | Sales and Operations

About the role

At Elements Massage San Mateo, our Assistant Manager/Studio Manager will support the Area Manager and help keep the entire studio running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys people leadership, studio operations, and being part of a growing wellness business.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee daily operations of the studio
• Lead, coach, and support front desk staff, massage therapists, and estheticians
• Onboard, train, and support new team members across all roles
• Schedule, cover, and manage workflow for front desk and service providers
• Reinforce service standards, client experience expectations, and brand values
• Address client concerns with professionalism and care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment
• Partner with the Area Manager on performance, communication, and team culture

Requirements

• 2 years of spa management experience is preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a membership-driven environment (wellness, fitness, spa, or hospitality)
• Experience managing or supporting both sales and service teams
• Familiarity with scheduling systems, POS software, and studio operations
• Interest in skincare, facials, or wellness services is a plus

A calm, confident leader who enjoys supporting teams across different roles, comfortable balancing people management with hands-on operational work, clear communicator who builds trust with staff and clients, organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities during busy shifts, someone who leads by example and is comfortable jumping in where needed.

Skills

Preferred skills include familiarity with scheduling systems, POS software, and studio operations, interest in skincare, facials, or wellness services.
