Student Worker Science and Math

About the role

The selected student worker will assist with maintaining the LCCC student garden plot located at Baumhart Berry Farm, 2200 Baumhart Road, Vermilion, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Watering, weeding, and harvesting crops as needed throughout the growing season.
• Weeding and maintaining raised garden beds.
• Harvesting crops when ready.
• Monitoring and reporting any issues related to deer fencing or other garden needs.
• Assisting with additional tasks related to the raised-bed garden as assigned.

Requirements

• Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a LCCC student.
• Have reliable transportation to Baumhart Berry Farm.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to report issues or concerns as needed.
• Able to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in gardening.
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable performing outdoor physical work in varying weather conditions.
