Student Worker - Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences (AOIP)

Summary

Under general supervision, assist the Advanced Ocular Imaging Program within the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences by providing support for a variety of imaging-related research projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Aid in image exporting and data organization
  • Support filing and recordkeeping
  • Contribute to image processing; perform retinal image registration and montage creation
  • Attend meetings with Principal Investigator and research staff, evaluating and interpreting data as necessary
  • Occasionally assist with 3D printing
  • Perform other tasks essential to the lab’s operation as assigned

Qualifications

  • Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis
  • Minimum required education: Completed sophomore year in High School
  • Minimum required experience: None
  • CITI training required within 60 days of hire

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids
  • Work performed in an environmentally controlled environment
  • Sensory acuity: Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required
