Student Worker, Office of Special Events (August 2026)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update attendee lists
  • Aid in nametag creation
  • Conduct post-event data entry and coding
  • Pack/unpack event supplies and equipment
  • Support coordination of event logistics
  • Provide onsite support during event setup, execution, and teardown
  • Perform clerical functions (copying, collating, word processing, filing, answering phones, etc.)
  • Distribute mail to events team members
  • Maintain storage areas to keep equipment in its proper location
  • Manage inventory of event supplies
  • Ensure all supplies and equipment are returned, stored properly, and maintained in event-ready condition

Requirements

  • Work outdoors
  • Up to 19 hours max a week

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Purdue University Student
  • Preference given to Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) students
