Student Worker Lead - UCI - Zot N Go

About the role

This position supervises, trains, and manages the food operation, ensuring appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production records.
• Direct daily activities and ensure food safety and quality according to policies and procedures.
• Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations.
• Ensure food items are stored, prepared, and served safely and per menu specifications.
• Maintain accurate weekly inventory and prepare orders as needed.
• Supervise, evaluate, and counsel employees; promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
• Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.
• Train and mentor other food service workers.
• Maintain logs on equipment maintenance and perform preventative maintenance.
• Recommend equipment replacement to meet facility needs.
• Fill in for absent employees as necessary.
• Manage daily catering events, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.
• Attend food service meetings and maintain communication with staff.
• Perform cashier duties as needed.
• Promote good public relations.
• Work occasional night and weekend catered events.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager.

Requirements

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost-effective program.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a student at the Aramark location.

Pay

Hourly rate: $23.00.
