Lead Student Worker at an Aramark food operation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and manage food-service staff.
- Ensure appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served.
- Produce and maintain work schedules; prepare production records.
- Direct daily activities and maintain food safety and quality per policies and procedures.
- Store food items safely, organized, and hazard-free.
- Maintain serving schedules; serve food per menu specifications.
- Keep the department sanitary in compliance with health and safety codes.
- Conduct accurate weekly inventory; prepare orders as needed.
- Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel, promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
- Maintain a safe, hazard-free working environment.
- Train and mentor other food-service workers.
- Maintain logs of equipment maintenance; perform preventative maintenance checklist.
- Recommend equipment replacement to meet facility needs.
- Multi-task proficiently.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager.
- Fill in for absent employees at the location when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of daily catering events; confirm timely preparation and delivery.
- Attend food-service staff meetings.
- Maintain communication with staff (office, email, phone, inter-office mail).
- Perform cashier duties as needed.
- Promote good public relations.
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events.
Requirements
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost-effective program.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a student at the Aramark location.
Pay
Hourly rate: $18.50.
