Student Worker - Food Service or Catering - University of South Carolina

As a Student Food Services / Catering Worker, you’ll play a key part in food prep, safety, and customer service while developing essential social skills. Prior experience isn’t required—we’re looking for students eager to learn and contribute.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions.
- Properly stores food in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Sets up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations.
- Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating needs.
- Replenishes food items and ensures stock levels meet demand.
- Maintains excellent customer service and a positive demeanor toward guests, clients, and coworkers.
- Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation.
- Ensures security of company assets.

Requirements
- Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
- Must have or acquire food safety certification.
- Demonstrates guest service skills.
Physical Demands
- Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
- May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
