Student Worker - Food Service or Catering - UNC-Wilmington

Your career starts here! As a Student Food Services / Catering Worker you will help prep food, follow safety guidelines, and master customer service and social skills. Prior experience isn’t required – we’re looking for students ready to be trailblazers with Aramark.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and build food items according to standardized recipes and directions.
• Properly store food in accordance with standards.
• Set up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
• Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
• Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating their needs.
• Replenish food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels.
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, and co‑workers.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure security of company assets.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Must have or be able to acquire a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates strong guest service skills.
• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing.
• May be required to wear uniforms and/or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
