Student Worker

Primary Responsibilities

• Afford assistance in routine administrative tasks such as sorting, calculating, posting, copying, and filing.
• Maintain files in designated locations.
• Retrieve and input information from tables, lists, and reports.
• Perform light typing and word processing as necessary.
• Enter data into various software systems and complete forms as directed.
• Provide basic administrative support under the guidance of a supervisor.
• Support laboratory maintenance and perform basic research tasks.
• Participate in lab meetings, seminars, and workshops as required.
• Collaborate with other research team members.
• Contribute to other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may substitute for education on an equivalent basis. Minimum required education: Enrolled in college. Minimum required experience: No experience required.

Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting of moderate weight materials, standing, or walking is required. Exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids may occur. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of computers and clerical procedures.
• Customer service standards.
• Collaboration, information management, organization, time management, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of research.
