Student Worker - Activities (26-27)

About the position

This position is for current Hillsboro Sr. High School students only.

Roles available

• Athletic/Activities Gate Worker: Collect money for admission and hand out rosters.
• Announcer: Announce line-ups, plays, and other game information.
• Bookkeeper: Keep track of plays/score and record in scorebooks.
• Track wrestling operator: Enter event information in track wrestling program as it happens on a Chromebook.
• Official Timer/Tapper: Stand at wrestling mat and tap the official to make them aware of the time.
• Stat/Scoreboard: Operate board control to track fouls, points, and time-outs.
• Clock: Operate board control to start and stop game clock.
• Runner: Misc. jobs including delivering papers and relieving workers for breaks.
• Chains (FB): Hold and move field placement (down) markers on the sideline of the football field.
• Concessions: Assist with concession stand needs by helping prepare food, waiting on customers, collecting money, and cleaning as needed.

Requirements

• Must meet with Betsy Noack in Human Resources prior to starting.
• Must maintain good grades, good behavior, and good attendance.
• Must be in attendance at school on the day of work.
• If you are 14 or 15 years of age, you will need to complete the Student Worker Permit - During School Term or Student Worker Permit - Non-School Term.
