Job Summary:
Assist the Facilities department with grounds and janitorial duties.
Job Duties
- Lawn mowing, weed whipping, garden work, sweeping, raking, and shoveling snow
- Light vehicle maintenance including washing, fueling, checking tire pressure, etc.
- Absorb and assist with College vehicle maintenance
- Empty trash and recycle containers and pick up trash throughout the college campus
- Operate light equipment including lawn mowers, gas trimmers, snowblowers, etc.
- Provide transportation of all vehicles requiring service to outside vendors as directed
- Sweep, rake, and shovel snow
- Perform light vehicle maintenance including washing, fueling, checking tire pressure, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Must qualify for federal work study
- Must be a current or incoming CSS student
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to shovel snow, rake or sweep
- Current US driver’s license required
- Must be able to perform heavy labor including but not limited to, lifting and moving tables, picking up shrubs, digging holes, etc.
