Student Transportation Driver - 2026-2027
About the role
The El Dorado County Office of Education accepts applications for the position of Driver, on a year-round basis, with no application deadline. This posting will be used to create an eligibility list. The eligibility list will be active for a period of six (6) months and will be utilized to fill current and future vacancies in this classification.
Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Director of Transportation, transports special services students on designated routes. Hours range from 7 to 8 hours per day, depending on available routes. Applicant must possess a valid Class C Driver's License. Applicant must be punctual, reliable, courteous, and able to work with a diverse group of people. 10% differential pay when assigned to a bus (requires bus certification).
Requirements
- Prior record of safe driving experience and successful interaction with children with special needs.
- Work experience in an educational setting is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay
- Initial salary placement is on step 1 of the range.
- Pay Range: $21.59 - $26.75 Per Hour.
