Student Teacher/ University Intern
About the Role
Approved internship is for either one semester or the full year. Professional dress is required for all interns. Remember that all information on campus and in classrooms is confidential. You may not observe in the classroom of your own children. Respect the decision of the district/campus administrator regarding which classroom and teacher you will be assigned. Please be courteous to the campus staff assisting you.
In the best interest of our students and staff, student teaching/internship positions may be limited depending on availability.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a class requiring completion of an internship
- Course syllabus
- Verification of enrollment (must include your name and a school contact name, phone number, and email)
- Valid ID
- Fingerprinting for the Texas Education Agency (TEA) after HR clearance
Application Process
Initiate the background/criminal history check process by completing and submitting an application in the Career Portal at www.splendoraisd.org. Upload the required documents (ID, course syllabus, and enrollment verification). Once your application is reviewed and cleared, you will receive fingerprinting instructions.
