Student Success Strategist, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions by leveraging Coachbot analytics and student data to identify obstacles, establish ambitious targets, and enforce accountability
  • Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery by drawing on credible narratives from your own elite background, then evaluating mastery via Alpha's Test2Pass framework
  • Establishing the campus cultural standard each morning through focused kickoffs that communicate high-performance expectations
  • Monitoring student progress continuously and refining coaching approaches based on data rather than intuition
  • Developing trusted mentor relationships with students and families by maintaining high standards, consistency, and documented motivation strategies

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least one documented instance of exceptional achievement in a highly selective, globally recognized field (examples: national or international competition medals, top-tier university with distinction, highly selective firm or fellowship, elite performing arts institution, or founding and scaling a successful venture)
  • At least 3 years of experience in student coaching, youth mentoring, athletic coaching, or leadership positions where you measurably elevated others' performance
  • Willing to work in-person at an Alpha campus in Orange County, CA; Palo Alto, CA; San Francisco, CA; South Bay, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Boston, MA; New York City, NY; or Kirkland (Seattle), WA (relocation support provided)

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Background in elite competitive athletics (varsity D1, national team, or professional level) with experience coaching or mentoring younger athletes
  • Experience in high-accountability settings such as management consulting, investment banking, or military leadership
  • Demonstrated youth development through mentoring in non-academic contexts (community organizations, after-school programs, sports camps)
  • Comfort presenting to and earning trust with high-expectation families paying premium private school tuition
