Student Respiratory Assistant- PRN

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in and in good standing with an accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Obtains an active limited permit from the Ohio Medical Board within two months of meeting the licensure educational requirements.
• Ensures that all paperwork is filed with the appropriate Program Director and The MetroHealth System’s Human Resources department in a timely fashion, and as outlined by the licensure laws for the State of Ohio.
• Obtains and maintains BLS Certification from the AHA within the standard probationary period.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
• May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
• Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
• Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
• Requires some exposure to chemicals.
