Student Research Assistant

About the role

The Student Research Assistant position at Harold Washington College, part of the City Colleges of Chicago, supports a defined research project under the supervision of an assigned faculty mentor. Responsibilities include performing duties such as literature review, field work, and laboratory experiments, preparing scientific reports and presentations, attending mandatory meetings and workshops, and adhering to the Customer Service Excellence Standards.

Qualifications

Eligibility requirements include having experience with Digital Multimedia design and production, being 18 years or older, having work permit consent, being eligible to work in the United States, actively attending one of the City Colleges of Chicago, being enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester hours credit classes, pursuing an approved educational credential, degree, or certificate, maintaining a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA, being in “good standing,” not being current Full or Part-time employees of the City Colleges of Chicago, and adhering to the employment at-will policy.

Pay

Salary Range: $18 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
