About the role
The Box Office Assistant will assist the Box Office Manager in running the Performing Arts at Tulane University box office, providing extra assistance for The Summer Lyric Theatre, New Orleans Shakespeare Festival and Music and Theatre and Dance Departments.
Responsibilities
- Extensive customer interaction: answering, checking, and making phone calls daily, as well as greeting and helping any customers who come to the box office
- Learning the procedures and computer software necessary for selling and assigning tickets and season subscriptions
- Processing numerous cash, check, and credit card orders
- Performing office-related duties such as filing, filling out reports and order forms, and helping with anything that may be needed
- Being available for nighttime and weekend performance show dates during the summer
This position is for the Spring semester and the Summer.
