Student Records Specialist - Student Services & Records
Job Summary
The Student Records Specialist is responsible for identifying new issues and/or customers presented to the office of student records and registrar. Determines the scope, urgency, and significance of issues and routes them for the most appropriate resolution. This position requires a broad knowledge of UMMC admissions policies. Acts as liaison for receipt of fees from customers and subsequent placement with the accounting office. Requires independent judgment and knowledge on the part of the specialist in the managing of various documents, including the identification, verification, and electronic cataloguing.
Responsibilities
- Makes independent decisions on requests and other issues regarding student records and the client admission process (following generally established standards).
- Verifies education and training of current and former students and provides requested documentation.
- Catalogues all transcripts received electronically and oversees distribution of same to admissions counselor.
- Serves as a resource to the director of the area.
- Collects fees from clients for services rendered and deposits those funds with the accounting office.

Qualifications
Education & Experience Required: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree. Certifications, Licenses, Or Registration Required: None.
