Student Radiographer (Non-Certified) (Per-Diem)
Purpose & Scope
Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level, requiring the supervision of a staff technologist. This position requires restrictions as deemed necessary by the Diagnostic Technical Manager. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require ingenuity and initiative in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas and procedures as required.

Assists in the diagnostic imaging process under the supervision of a staff technologist. Assures patient safety and comfort during procedures. Adheres to established protocols and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Administers radiographic procedures under supervision.
- Ensures proper positioning and alignment of patients for imaging.
- Operates and adjusts equipment to ensure accurate and consistent results.
- Monitors and records patient data accurately.
- Communicates effectively with patients and staff regarding procedures and concerns.
- Adheres to infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an ARRT approved program as a second year student.
- First year of Radiographic Program completed in good standing.
- BLS certification.
Qualifications
- ARRT Certification to be obtained within 6 months of graduation.
- Move to PRN Radiographer Non-Certified upon graduation.
