Responsibilities

• Performs and ensures safe, knowledgeable age-specific patient care in a holistic manner.
• Provides patient education and responds to patient and customer concerns.
• Performs value-added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction.
• CT Scan Department:
  • Performs limited diagnostic radiographic procedures within scope of license.
  • Completes documentation of patient x-ray record and Quality Control processes.
• MRI Department:
  • Aids the MRI technologist with procedures within the scope of their job skills and licensure.
  • Ensures that supplies needed for the technologists are appropriately maintained.
  • Communicates with patients and prepares them for the exam.
  • Escorts, assists patients in and out of wheelchairs, transfers patients on and off stretchers.
  • Transports patients throughout imaging department.
  • Assists with room turn over, cleaning, and lifting equipment required.
  • Discusses medical history from patients, family members and nursing staff, answers phones.
  • Utilizes proper infection control practices per the department procedure manual.
  • Ensures the safety of patients, visitors and employees.
  • Completes mandatory MRI safety training.
  • Completes documentation of patient MRI safety screening form.

Education: Current enrollment in a degree program of Radiologic Technology.

Experience: N/A

Licenses/Certifications: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.

Job Description

This is a casual/prn position. Casual employees work on an 'as needed' basis to meet the needs of the business. Shifts may vary from week to week. Will also be required to be available to work weekends and holidays.
