Description

The Student Placement Coordinator is responsible for the placement of students in clinical-related fields within Primary Health Solutions. They are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with universities to partner on clinical placement for students. They ensure an efficient flow of information between all involved to ensure that learning and development has a positive impact on business results and relationships.

A Day in the Life

  • Initiates and maintains contracts and provides direction and support to students throughout their clinical experience.
  • Establishes processes to facilitate efficiency and effectiveness of programs.
  • Develops consistent, dependable, and user-friendly work procedures.
  • Captures and coordinates the process from initial contact to the end of the learning experience and follow-up.
  • Sets measurable goals and tracks progress, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Keeps information organized and accessible, works systematically and efficiently.
  • Communicates with customers, handles service problems politely and efficiently.
  • Understands and promotes department programs, services, and objectives.
  • Buils, maintains, and cultivates relationships between PHS and local/regional Colleges and Universities.
  • Makes good use of technology resources to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of process, researches and adapts technologies to improve processes.
  • Provides follow-up after completion of clinical assignments to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Identifies opportunities, generates new ideas, and solves problems as issues arise.
  • Performs administrative functions to support the program and works with multiple disciplines and levels within the organization.
  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education/Experience: Associate's degree with at least 6 years of experience working in health related field or Bachelor's Degree in business or health related field. Experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of radiation.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
