Job Summary
As our Student Nurse, you will transition from student to professional nurse, building trust with your clinical preceptor and patients in a supportive environment. Our comprehensive residency program aims to establish you as a reliable resource and helpful supporter for patients and families. You will practice essential nursing skills, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to patient care plans.
Responsibilities
- Practicing essential nursing skills under supervision
- Collaborating with experienced healthcare professionals
- Contributing to patient care plans
- Maintaining commitment to individual growth and development
- Recognizing own skill level and asking for assistance when necessary
- Participating in special projects and in-services
- Demonstrating good communication and problem-solving skills
- Maintaining a professional and safe work environment
- Working on projects or tasks as defined by the preceptor/manager of department
- Completing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Completed course study of one of the following: a) Board-approved pre-licensure program or school; b) Board-approved continuing education course or post-licensure course; or c) Unlicensed graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire
