Student Mystery Shopper

About the role

We’re seeking Student Mystery Shoppers to act as secret shoppers, collecting data and evaluating the performance of local businesses near your campus.

Responsibilities

• Pose as a potential customer to assess business services.
• Submit inquiries via email or online forms and log all responses.
• Call businesses to follow up on inquiries and gather additional information.
• Visit local businesses in person, ask key questions, and evaluate staff interactions.
• Maintain regular communication with your manager to complete tasks and coordinate schedules.
• Submit thorough, detailed reports summarizing business performance and employee conduct.

Requirements

• Must be a current college student living near your campus.
• Strong note-taking and attention to detail are essential.
• Comfortable posing as a prospective lessee (i.e., a potential renter).
• Reliable transportation to visit local businesses.
• Great time-management skills and a “poker face” demeanor.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
